The first generation was sold exclusively in Japan, but the second generation (EP3) was produced in the UK and sold in Japan and Europe, the third generation was a 3-door (FN2) European version, a 4-door sedan (FD2) Japanese version and two Type R models, while the fourth generation (FK2) was produced in the UK and sold mainly in Japan and the UK.
